I can think of no greater form of violence to anything worthy of being called truth, and nothing more offenseive to nature, morality, and reason, than that Christians teach their children to love and worship a God who, rather than creating them with all of the perfection that any worthy parent would, created them instead as born sinners, and all so he could eventually butcher his own son to death for their spiritual deformities in order to establish a new and updated brand of religious proscribtions for the spiritual deformities that same God "intelligently designed" all children the worldover to be born with. The special brand of spiritual deformities such a God is said to have designed all human children to be born with, which the Christian religion calls "the stain of origian sin," are the sort that can only be fully forgiven by accepting a lifelong enslavement to the new brand of religion God wished to begin through the brutal murder of his own son. That brutal murder, of a completely innocent man, was committed by people who that same God prevented from seeing was in fact the very God they had been waiting for for centuries, only to end up killing that God in defense of their God, as their religion required of them, so as to save themselves from the fires of hell for failing to punish anyone claiming to be God who was not God. And if anyone questions the wisdom of such a "dvine plan" they'll be burned for all eternity in an afterlife that makes Auschwitz look like Romper Room and Jesus's crucifixtion look like a hang nail, but if they shut up and simply obey a priesthood that protects its own child-rapists, they'll live happily ever after in shang gra la with a God who lives in the cloulds like that giant in Jack and the Beanstalk. If this is not the epitome of insanity mixed with pure evil, nothing is.

Wilson, Consilience: The Unity of Knowledge , p. 256.   Argue with a Christian long enough and eventually they will try to support their claims about God being the author of all absolute truth with the example of 2 + 2 = 4. In doing so, they are using the existence of objective mathematical truths as evidence of the existence of objective divine truths, and thus an author of those divine truths they called God. But this is to equate one for the other, even though the two are very different.
